The Culture
The best thing about working at The Lady Alliance is:
The company fits your lifestyle, not the other way around. Mental health, family, and wellness come first.
When we’re not working, we’re:
Outdoors exploring or building our local communities.
What we’re reading:
Edge of the Map by Johanna Gordon
What we’re listening to:
The soundtrack from the movie Mid 90s!
If they made a movie about our workplace, it would be called:
“Help…”
Inclusion in the outdoors matters because:
Building confidence and community through adventure is a global effort that everyone should enjoy. Inclusion in the outdoors should be one of the only things that matter. We, as society, need EVERYONE to enjoy the outdoors. The outdoors brings mental and emotional wellness to us as humans. It brings challenge, expansion, peace, tranquility, and beauty into our lives. The outdoors is not claimable. It’s not set aside for one category of human. It’s there. It doesn’t care who enjoys it. It just wants to be cared for and enjoyed. And it’s up to us to ensure EVERYONE gets to enjoy the benefits of adventures in the outdoors.
Five years down the line, it’s our hope that:
Our goal in 5 years is to have the following KPI’s regarding having a diversified community:
1. 70% of our chapter coordinators are POC.
2. 100% of our chapter coordinators understand and perform land acknowledgements at each group event
3. Our retreats and events are attended by 50% POC
4. Our partners (Currently Arcteryx, Mammut, MEC, and Fjallraven) become more diversified and we can lead them down this path by example.
