The best thing about working at oregon timber trails alliance is:
Our board’s universal passion and vision for creating profound experiences on backcountry trails.
When we’re not working, we’re:
Most of us are involved with multiple nonprofits, but what we’d really like to be doing? Riding bikes in the mountains and discovering new things.
What we’re reading:
On trails, Braiding Sweetgrass, Between the World and Me, Golden Spruce
What we’re listening to:
Marijata, Dougie Poole, Kassi Valazza, Ted Lucas, Black Savage
If they made a movie about our workplace, it would be called:
Sweatpants and Zoom
Inclusion in the outdoors matters because:
Experiences in the outdoors have shaped who I am and I want those experiences to be available to everyone. I think this connection to our wild places is the only functional foundation for creating lasting cross-generational change to combat the climate and social crises we face today.
Five years down the line, it’s our hope that:
We have enhanced and expanded the trail systems in Oregon, created resources for our users to learn about the cultural and natural histories of these places, and made these experiences more accessible to a broader segment of our population.
