The Culture
The best thing about working here is:
meeting so many inspiring, like-minded people that share a passion for the outdoors!
When we’re not working, we’re:
eating homemade Mexican food, hiking, rearranging the furniture, or thinking about eating homemade Mexican food, hiking, rearranging the furniture.
What we’re reading:
Becoming by Michelle Obama, Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert, The Wonder of All Things by Jason Mott, and my mountain community newspaper.
What we’re listening to:
Janae, my singer-songwriter daughter. She is always singing. Watching her perform is my happy place.
If they made a movie about our workplace, it would be called:
Musings at the Foot of Pikes Peak; Why is Winter in Colorado 9 Months Long?
Inclusion in the outdoors matters because:
The outdoors is for everyone. All people should be able to enjoy nature’s beauty without judgement and regardless of skin color, national origin, culture, ability, gender, age, or body size.
Five years down the line, it’s our hope that:
Inclusion in the outdoors is the norm and that factory farming and animal cruelty will be a thing of the past.
