The Culture
The best thing about working at Marmot is:
The incredible range of talent in all areas of the company: from the skilled seamstresses in our warranty department who have decades of experience bringing new life to Marmot gear, to our creative and passionate design team and their endless flow of innovative ideas, to newer employees in sales and operations who bring a fresh perspective from other industries.
When we’re not working, we’re:
Hiking, biking, and sipping local brews in the hills of Sonoma County, skiing in Tahoe, swimming and surfing in the Pacific and generally loving life outdoors in our beautiful Northern California home.
What we’re reading:
Adventure Journal, Backcountry Magazine, The Push by Tommy Caldwell
What we’re listening to:
Outside Magazine and For The Wild Podcasts, Skiing All Day Spotify playlist
If they made a movie about our workplace, it would be called:
Pull-Up-Showdown: Sales vs. Marketing
Inclusion in the outdoors matters because:
We know that participation in outdoor activities can help everyone lead a more fulfilling life, and we want that kind of life-changing experience to be available to everyone. The more we can actively encourage diversity in our own organization, the better we will be at serving a more diverse community of passionate outdoor enthusiasts.
Five years down the line, it’s our hope that:
…we live, work and play in an outdoor industry where more people of more sizes, shapes and colors, from more diverse backgrounds experience more of the life-changing challenges of outdoor adventures.
