The Culture

The best thing about working here is:

Knowing that everything we do every day has a very positive, very real impact on Mount Rainier, North Cascades and Olympic National Parks and the good people – both employees AND volunteers – who serve. Contributions enhance volunteer programs, trails, campgrounds, night sky programs, search and rescue, historical structures, science and research, critter restoration, youth and family programs, and much more.

When we’re not working, we’re:

Hiking, climbing, camping and volunteering in the places we love most here in Washington State.

What we’re reading:

The Golden Spruce, High Country News, Outside, REI’s The Path Ahead, Nature Poem, The Road to Paradise

What we’re listening to:

Smooth Jazz, Seattle independents, random podcasts

If they made a movie about our workplace, it would be called:

Pay it Forward

Inclusion in the outdoors matters because:

Mount Rainier, North Cascades and Olympic National Parks belong to everyone.

Five years down the line, it’s our hope that:

We are awarding ten times more to Mount Rainier, North Cascades and Olympic National Parks…at a minimum!
